J.B. Lawrence

Luc Borms and his brother Marc (Catfish & Cotton) have traveled to the Mississippi Delta countless times since 2011 to talk to blues musicians, festival organizers, owners of juke joints and soul food restaurants to capture the blues culture. They made several short video documentaries and wrote several books about it.

Luc met J.B. Lawrence at Luc's home in Natchez, Mississippi. They became friends. J.B. works as a videographer in the music industry and later made the music video for the title song of Catfish & Cotton's CD: "Flat Tire Blues". Luc appeared as an actor in several music videos that J.B. produced. His idiosyncratic view of the music video industry and his unique way of working give us a completely new perspective on blues music, the music industry and the added value that music videos offer the artist.
